Sarah has spent many years reading, from a young age she learned to read and spent much of her time sitting in what she called her secret spot which was really just a small area where her mom pulled out the couch to vacuum. She learned to read listening to her father create lesson plans, and her mother read recipes out of magazines. Anything with words they read to Sarah; as time progressed Sarah fell in love with reading, and found it comforting to come home and read for fun, and relaxation. Sarah is a believer that people are creatures of habit, they learn to read and love reading from their environment. If parents teach their children how to read and love reading through their actions, kids will find comfort in books. When looking for new books Sarah doesn't confine herself to one type of book, she'll read anything from fiction to a biography. Reading has always come naturally to her, and she has never been one to turn down a chance to relax at home and read. Though those times are few where she actually has time to read, she tries to read a little bit each night. Her love for reading only grows each time she flips a page.
Reading and writing go hand in hand, without writing, people wouldn't have books to read; there would be no funny birthday cards, or poetry. Sarah has never claimed to be a writer, she enjoys it, but probably won't be showing up on the New York Times Bestseller list anytime soon. Learning to write came almost as naturally to Sarah as reading, though she still has issues with some of the grammar. She doesn't write nearly as much as she reads, but she would like to start writing for a hobby as so many others do with their free time. Besides just using up spare free time, people write for expression, to tell how they feel or to be creative with their story telling. When Sarah writes, it's for fun, much like anything you do, if there's no enjoyment in it you shouldn't be doing it. When trying to decide what she should write about she first thinks about silly memories of her childhood and all the years running around with her brother. Her old memories are always fun to record and remember, and are her favorite things to write. Sarah believes that to get better at something, you must receive at least a little criticism so you know what you did wrong and how to fix it. Criticism is usually what drives Sarah to be a better person, or successful in whatever she takes on. She believes that the same goes with your writing, if you're going to write, make sure it's the best you can do. She would love to continue to write through the future, and believes it's a good way of expression and everyone should try it.
